Let’s Get Creative.
Our Mission.
Our mission is to reach out to other film and production companies and partner with them by providing essential contacts in this area. Our goal is to see quality film projects and grow this industry.
About Us
Our name “Bubbadog Productions” was inspired by our late beloved family pet, Bubba. Bubba was a (giant) Chocolate Lab and, to us, he was more than “the family pet” — he was family. Sadly, when he was 13 years old, Bubba passed away due to Cushings Disease. Our Bubba was a huge part of our family, joining us through many different adventures and alongside us for all of the ups and downs in those 13 years.
As much as he truly brought joy to our family, he also brought joy and happiness to many others. Bubba was also a therapy dog who, alongside my wife Dianna, enjoyed his spare time visiting patients in the hospital as well as college students during exam time. Having such a big impact on our lives, his loss undoubtedly left a huge void in all of our hearts. However, even though he had to leave us, we knew his memory would stay with us forever. In part of his memory, we thought it was fitting to name our production company after him, so he could join us through this next adventure, too.
Dean Busch.
Dean was born in a small town in North-Western Saskatchewan, He started performing at a young age, singing before audiences at 13 and gaining some notoriety at the Saskatchewan Talent Quests in the late 70’s.
Dean later moved on to acting, landing small roles in Stephen Kings, “The Tommy Knockers” and the New Zealand TV show “Shortland Street”. He spent a number of years working in film in New Zealand, and Dean considers himself exceptionally lucky as he has had the opportunity to work with some well known names in the film world.
He has continued acting since returning to Canada in TV commercials and some independent films. He has for the past few years taken on producing independent film.

Community.
Here at Bubbadog Productions, we are passionate about all things film related. We have been involved with many different organizations, projects and individuals related to our very own independent film scene here in Central Alberta. We continue to connect with like-minded creatives, and part of our mission is to continue this connection and bring us together - starting with our very own community.
COR VALUES | a special screening
The film COR VALUES was shown at the Cut Knife Elks theatre in Saskatchewan, with all the proceeds going back in to support the theatre. Here you can see a photo of the stage just prior to the COR VALUES screening, and also a photo from the 1950’s of Dean Busch’s father performing on the very same stage!
